OVERDRAWN
A short film created for the module ‘Film, Fashion and Media’, visually exploring old age and a strong appearances as a means of disguise. This attempts to highlight how we perceive elderly people, particularly those who have eccentric looks, and the rules and preconceptions we attach to them. How can we dismantle these associations and disprove the assumptions of society. An overdrawn character is peeled back to reveal facial features in their rawest form, we see an entirely different individual uncovered from behind the guise of another. What we see on the surface is not always what it seems, here we are encouraged to stop and think twice before we judge and presume.
